This is the twelfth issue of the herbst festival magazine. As always, it is not a programme booklet that sums up and explains specific works, exhibitions or projects. Instead, it sets out in search of a different kind of closeness – and finds it through contributions from people taking part in the festival. Through portraits and artistic contributions. Through public reflection, by crossing boundaries and thinking out loud. Through theoretical comments dealing with the festival’s leitmotif, “Where Are We Now?”, from different angles. Through the numerous essays, reports and series of pictures, “herbst. Theorie zur Praxis” becomes a festival project in its own right.
